This Privacy Policy applies to iOS apps published by Yuki Miyamoto that link to this page. Features vary between apps, so each section below applies only when an app includes the feature or service described.
Depending on its features, an app may process content you create, app settings, camera or microphone input, selected photo-library items, location information, and purchase or subscription status. This information is used to provide the feature you request.
User-created content and information obtained through Apple permission-protected APIs are processed on your device or, when a feature provides it, through Apple services such as iCloud or CloudKit. The developer does not operate a server that collects this content or information. The developer receives it only when you deliberately send, share, or submit it to the developer, for example in a support email. Data processed by advertising and other third-party services is described separately below.
Apps that request these permissions use them only for the relevant app feature, such as capturing a photo or video, recording audio with a video, selecting or saving media, or adding location information. Some apps may embed location information in a photo or video. If you export or share that file, the embedded information may also be provided to the recipient or destination service.
You can change permission choices at any time in the iOS Settings app. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
Some apps covered by this policy allow you to capture, select, edit, compare, organize, save, or export photos and videos. Those files may incidentally contain an image of a person's face. The apps treat a face only as part of the ordinary pixels in the photo or video. They do not use face detection, face recognition, identity verification, facial analysis, or biometric profiling, and they do not create facial templates, faceprints, or facial-geometry data.
Photos and videos are used only to provide the feature you request. The developer does not receive, collect, upload, sell, or use those files or any face data for the developer's own purposes. The apps do not provide user photos, videos, or face data to advertising or analytics providers. If an app lets you save to an Apple service or deliberately export or share a file, the file is provided only to the Apple service, person, or destination you choose.
Media held only in working memory is retained until you replace or remove it, reset the relevant task, or end the app process. Media that you choose to save locally remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Media that you choose to save to Photos, iCloud, CloudKit, a backup, or another destination is controlled by that service and your settings. Because the developer does not receive or retain face data on a developer-operated server, the developer has no server-side face data to delete and no server-side retention period for face data.
Some apps may create temporary files in the app's private on-device storage to perform processing or make a result available for saving or sharing. These files are not uploaded to the developer. Depending on the app, they may be deleted when the related item is replaced or reset, when a new task begins, when the app removes them, when the operating system clears temporary storage, or when the app is removed.
You control this processing by choosing whether to capture or select media. You can stop it by removing or replacing the media, resetting the relevant task, or deleting the app's locally saved content. You can also revoke camera or photo-library permissions in iOS Settings when an app has requested them. Because the developer does not collect face data, there is no consent to developer collection of face data to revoke. The developer does not share face data with third parties.
PicVS loads two images selected through Apple's system photo picker into the device's working memory solely to display them and compare their pixels. Image selection and comparison are performed on the device and can be used offline. PicVS does not write the selected images to its persistent storage, upload or transmit them, or provide them to Google AdMob, Amazon, or any other third party. It does not detect or analyze faces.
PicVS retains the selected images in working memory only while they remain selected in the current app session. Using Reset, replacing an image, or ending the app process removes the corresponding in-memory data. The developer receives no copy, so there is no developer-held image or face data to access, retain, share, or delete.
Depending on the app and your Apple settings, app data may be stored locally, included in an iPhone or iPad backup, or synced through Apple services such as iCloud or CloudKit. Local storage, device backup, and CloudKit sync are different services, and not every app uses all of them. Apple processes data used by its services under Apple's privacy policy.
Some apps use Google AdMob to display advertisements and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy choices. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process information such as IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), device identifiers, advertising data, app interactions, performance data, and crash or diagnostic information. Google and its advertising partners may use this information to provide ads, measure performance, perform analytics, prevent fraud and abuse, and, where permitted by your choices and applicable law, personalize advertising. The apps do not provide user-created content, selected photos or videos, or face data to Google or its advertising partners.
When required, you can review or change advertising consent choices through “Privacy Options” in the app. You can also manage tracking permission in iOS under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Changing these choices does not necessarily prevent non-personalized advertising or processing required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Some apps contain Amazon.co.jp affiliate links. When you choose an Amazon link, Amazon receives the request and may process referral information, device or browser information, cookies, account information, and purchase activity under its own privacy policy. The developer may receive aggregated referral and performance reports, but does not receive your Amazon password or payment-card details. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Some apps offer in-app purchases or subscriptions through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payment and account information. The app may receive product, transaction, and entitlement status needed to provide purchased features, but the developer does not receive your full payment-card details.
Some apps include sharing, collaboration, or links to external services. Information you choose to share may be received by the people and services you select and will be handled according to their terms and privacy policies. Please review the destination and the information being shared before continuing.
If you contact the developer, your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send will be used to respond, investigate the issue, and maintain necessary support records. Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
App-managed local content is retained until you delete it using the app, remove the app, or otherwise erase the relevant storage. Copies in backups, synced storage, exports, or shared destinations are controlled by the applicable Apple settings or destination service. Information sent directly to the developer is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
To withdraw advertising consent, use “Privacy Options” when shown in the app. To change system permissions or tracking choices, use iOS Settings. To request access to or deletion of information you sent directly to the developer, contact the email address below. Third-party services handle their own retention and deletion requests under their privacy policies.
Any third-party provider with which an app shares user data is required to handle that data only for its stated services and to provide the same or equal protection of the data as described in this policy and required by applicable law. The apps do not share face data with third-party providers. Providers' practices may change, so please review their current policies:
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled by the apps. However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
This policy may be updated when app features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The effective date below will be revised when the policy is updated.
